Take a look at the comments attached to that article. Living on the West Coast I have become used to living my life the way I want to, being open about my sexual identity - I often forget just how much hate and oppression exist within this "free" country.
True. I may hate the weather here, but it's nice living the in Pacific Northwest where nobody seems to care what your orientation is as long as you're "nice".
And there are some comments that are gleefully ragging right back on the homophobes. That's always cheery to see.
