A court has heard how a lesbian couple sexually violated an emotionally unstable woman after she was invited to their home for coffee.
Kristina Oliver and Lynette Stewart have been sentenced today in the Wellington District Court, after being found guilty of sexual violation last month.
Oliver, who has been described as the principal offender, was also facing two charges of assault.
The court heard that Oliver attacked the woman after she was invited to their home two years ago.
The judge says the woman suffered an epileptic seizure while at the house, after which she was beaten by Oliver and sexually violated.
Oliver was sentenced to six years jail and Stewart - whom the judge said made no attempt to intervene - received two years.
