Canada Invites US Couples to Get Hitched

(Link) Need a break from living in a country where the President pushed an anti-gay marriage amendment? Visit Canada! They'll roll out the red carpet and arrange your wedding, too!

Non citizens can be married in Canada; the cost is around 175.00US. Marriage Commissioners can be found through the Vital Statistics office for the city you want to be married in (often on-line), licenses can be picked up same-day. To be granted a divorce (not that it would ever happen) one or both partners would need to reside in Canada for a minimum of 6 months.

Getting married in Vancouver? I reccommend Johanna Hickey (Marriage Commissioner).
